The Description
Luxor sits on the ancient site of Thebes, once the capital city of the pharaohs, on the east bank of the river Nile. It is incredibly rich in history with ancient temples, monuments, the Valley of the Kings, and the Valley of the Queens.
Lapis lazuli, turquoise, and pearls were some of the gemstones, alongside precious gold, worn by the Ancient Egyptians. Their jewellery often symbolised the natural world and carried deep meanings.
The Luxor necklace is a double strand necklace of semi-precious gemstones incorporating tiny stones of faceted lapis lazuli, turquoise, pearls, amazonite, and gold and silver. The strands are connected by small clasps which enable the strands to be separated and worn individually. The amazonite pendant can be removed and worn on a simple gold chain of your own (not included), and layered with the choker. The pearls have been traditionally knotted by hand on silk allowing it to drape beautifully.
The versatility of Luxor ensures you have several ways to style it, either in a more classic and pared back way, or layered as shown, adding detail and interest to a simple dress or outfit.
