The Description

Aswan, a southern city in Egypt situated on the banks of the Nile, experiences a much slower pace than Cairo. It has been a bustling market town since ancient times and is known for its beautiful scenery, archaeological sights, and Nubian culture.

Turquoise and lapis lazuli were much favoured stones of the Egyptians, as was gold. For them it represented power, wealth, and the Sun God, Ra.

The beautiful and delicate Aswan turquoise choker has been created using raw faceted Afghan turquoise finished in 14k gold fill with a central lapis lazuli stone. The choker is dotted through with gold filled beads and Austrian crystals in gold and blue zircon which shimmer when you move. A short 14k gold filled extension chain allows for a little flexibility in length. A gorgeous choker adding harmony or contrast to your chosen outfits.
